Paula Kamen is the author of four feminist and journalistic books regarding women, generational change and health. That includes “All in My Head,” about challenges of navigating America’s health care system with chronic pain. She got her start as an editor at The Daily Illini and has maintained a strong connection with her Illini Media colleagues. Her last book, “Finding Iris Chang: Ambition, Friendship and the Loss of an Extraordinary Mind,” chronicled the life and death of fellow Illini Media Hall of Fame recipient and close friend, Iris Chang. Paula lives in Evanston with her husband, David Beazley, an author and computer scientist, and their two sons.
